Our church recognizes that God specifically places each and every Christian in the church body in order to further the task of ministry (1 Cor 12:12-26). Furthermore, ministry within a church should never be focused solely on one individual’s leadership (e.g. the preaching pastor). While the teaching pastor’s leadership is important–since the proclamation of the Word and the casting of vision are to be taken seriously (James 3:1)–Scripture is clear concerning the plurality of church leadership (e.g. Acts 14:23; James 5:14; Titus 1:5; Acts 20:28; 1 Tim 5:17; Heb 13:17). Our Leadership Team’s number one aim is to feed the flock, as well as lead them in their relationship with their Savior, Jesus Christ. At the end of the day, we are servant-leaders, and we only exist to glorify God by serving His people.
