Matthew Halsted began serving as the pastor of First Baptist Church, McLoud on June 2012. Matthew and his wife, Tosha, have three kids—Isaac, Gracie, and Hannah. As a family, they are excited to see God’s work being done in the community of believers at First Baptist Church.
Matthew’s heart is to faithfully follow Christ so that he might be able to faithfully lead Christ’s church. His passion is to proclaim the riches of the Word of God, so that the saints might be equipped and the nations might be reached—all for the glory of Christ.
Matthew graduated from Rose State College and the University of Central Oklahoma with degrees in International Studies and Philosophy. He is currently completing his Master of Theology (Th.M.) thesis on Paul’s letter to the Romans with London School of Theology.
